Amrit Sagar, an acclaimed filmmaker honoured with a National Award, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinema/Television Studies from the California College of the Arts. Commencing his journey as an Assistant Director under the guidance of Dr. Ramanand Sagar for the TV series Shri Krishna, he later went on to helm the successful fantasy series Hatim and produce popular television series like Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithvi Raj Chauhan. His cinematic prowess was further acknowledged when his film 1971 clinched two National Awards, including the esteemed Best Hindi Feature Film accolade. Diversifying his portfolio, Amrit Sagar ventured into regional cinema with the Marathi blockbuster Mitwaa. Alongside his television endeavours, he has made significant contributions to the world of documentaries and short films, notably with works like Mr. Lieutenant Radio.
